Even if you yield everything else, you have to keep for yourself your right to decide about the brain.
You yourself must become the primary determiner that decides what is good or bad and what is right or wrong.
Many people are afraid of thinking, determining, and acting for themselves.
They want to entrust that process to others and simply follow along with what other people say to do,
or what other people like.
This is the source of much unhappiness.
If you don’t trust your brain,
you’ll only get dragged around
by other people or your external environment.
There will be no day without worry or anxiety.
If you truly are the master of your brain,
the conclusions of others are simply for your reference;
you would not commit the foolishness
of being completely dependent on those opinions.
