Today is the Winter Solstice, the darkest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. Yet many cultures are celebrating holidays of light around this time. To bring a little light to your day, I’d like to share with you a poem I wrote some time ago. Called “Eternal Love,” it was published in the book, “Songs of Enlightenment.” I hope it makes you more aware of the light that’s always with you.
Eternal Love
“Sun, moon, stars
Brighten my soul
Soothe my soul;
When the sun fades . . .
then the moon . . .
When the moon disappears . . .
then the stars . . .
Embrace the world
with their never-ending light;
Light is filled
With God’s love
In darkness and light
God’s love is eternal”
