Breathing is one of the automatic processes in our body over which we have some control. Through breathing mindfully and intentionally, we can calm ourselves when we are stressed or anxious. Controlled breathing can lower cortisol levels, improve our autonomic response, and more. It can help enhance our body’s natural ability to fight disease. In this video, I show you a basic form of breathing from your chest that you can use whenever you feel anxious or overwhelmed, or when you just want to unwind.
