Don’t fly off the handle; give strength and balance to your actions by maintaining a continual focus on your center. Effectively achieve your goals with the guidance of your inner compass and the laws of the universe.

A circle is often used to represent wholeness, eternity, harmony, and spirit. To live a life that’s an expression of these qualities, therefore, you need to make your life a circle. In order to do that, you need a strong enough focus on your center—your inner compass, your soul, which is also the center of all existence.

An object in motion travels in a circle when a force, known as a centripetal force, pulls it toward a central point. This pull needs to be equal to the object’s forward inertia. Without enough pull toward the center, the object would fly off. Together, these two forces create a push tangential to the circle, which is known as the centrifugal force, although it is not technically a force. The balance between this push and pull, which creates a circle, demonstrates the universal law of centripetal vs. centrifugal. Without the centripetal force, however, there would not be any circular motion, so it is the more important force philosophically.

The law of centripetal vs. centrifugal says to make your center strong first, and then take action out in the world. Without an inner, centripetal focus, you can get lost and imbalanced in the outer distractions of life. Acting without looking to your center first is like having a tree without roots. Such a tree could never bear fruit. However, if you act while keeping your focus on your center, you will become stronger and stronger.

The law also says that if there is something you want to change, look to yourself first and check your responsibility in it. Take care of your responsibility first and then look to others because the core of any action is you. Once you start to act on this law, then you can find peace. When you follow it, gain power over your life.

By looking to the center, your inner guide can give you a vision for your life and tell you the principles by which existence works so you can achieve that vision. The vision at your center is always one that is widely beneficial. When you work to achieve this vision by following your inner guidance and universal energy principles, you are in a sense surrendering to the needs and flow of all life. In that flow, your own personal needs balance with the needs of everything else.

Therefore, to create a centripetal force in your life and balance your centripetal (inner, reflective) and centrifugal (outer, expressive) tendencies, maintain a clear focus inside yourself to follow your guidance, realize and live by universal law, and discover and manifest your vision.

Centripetal forces and centrifugal phenomena are at work in revolution and rotation, which was discussed in the previous blog post. This further demonstrates that looking toward your center, building a strong core, and moving toward your vision is the means by which you can work in harmony with others to achieve a greater goal while achieving your own personal growth.
