Lately, I’ve been listening to the song “Imagine” by John Lennon often. This song contains the dream of humanity–war and poverty disappearing and harmony existing amongst all humankind. I think even though people don’t always act like they share this dream, it is really in the same essence shared by all.
But those of us who hold this dream dear are the ones who need to take action to make it come true. History is not made by going with the current flow, but by creating something new. We are the ones who create history. You are the designer of your own life. You have the power and ability to shape the future. To make it happen, don’t take your hands off the stearing wheel. When enough people do that, history will be created.

Yes, this song calls for us to make reality from our dreams. Another good song is “If You’re Out There” by John Legend. Thank you for this reminder that great art exists not just for conceptual enjoyment, but as a call to action.
I needed to read this message from SSN – opening my BBC, there are days when I feel anxious. But the strength of our vision and dream is stronger and it overcomes my fear. Yes!! I love your sharing. Sometimes I get caught up in my emotions and then feel a separation or disconnection from others. But if I change my focus to the larger picture – the big dream for humanity – then these small emotions disappear. And I can feel more purpose for my life and more love for myself and others!

Every time I listen to this song by John Lennon, it strongly touches my heart and soul. Instead of dwelling on the negative aspects of the world and wishing it were different, it reinforces my desire to change it by the way I respond to it. My heart and soul cries out to make it a better world to live in. The only way to achieve this is by being a more positive influence in this world by my actions, which will ultimately have an affect on humanity.
