The Era of Mental Health

You need to be mentally healthy in order to be a good person. A good person has good thoughts, speaks good words, performs good actions, creates good information, and is beneficial to the people around them. On the other hand, people who are aware only of their own personal gain, thinking and acting only for themselves, fall into the category of a bad person. In order to recover good mental health, the most important thing is finding your true spirit, which is naturally beneficial to yourself and others.

Mental health does not refer simply to the absence of a mental/psychological disorder. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health is a state of happiness and well-being in which people can actualize their potential, regulate the stress in their daily lives, work in a way that is productive and generates results, and contribute to the community to which they belong. The phrase mental breakdown refers to a state of shock so severe that mental collapse has ensued; and it’s a term that flatly expresses the mental health issues of our society.

Restoring a Vibrant Sense of Humanity
Mental health is a matter of the brain. Your value is determined by the quality and quantity of information in your brain. That information is everything: it is the way that you see the world, and the spirit that you offer to the world in return. If there’s a lot of negative information in your brain, or if your brain consistently produces negative information, eventually you will lose your sense of humanity. What is this sense of humanity? It is the vibrant abundance of life. The inflow and outflow of goodness and health. It is the sparkle in your eye, the willingness to help others, and hope for a bright expansive future.

If you can’t feel the value of your life as a being living on this planet, if you made the mistake of getting too caught up in relative values such as wealth, power, fame, or ideology, or if you’re stressed out and depressed because of other people’s opinions of you, what you need most is to create a little space for yourself by releasing yourself from the expectations of others. Discover what you really want for your life and determine what type of person that you want to be.

Once you have established a clear vision of the life that you want to live, you can recover your self-esteem through simple action toward that goal! A person who has recovered mental health is honest, diligent, and responsible. Those three attributes signify self-respect, and the natural outward expression of those traits communicate that the conscience is alive and well. Anyone with a brain is capable of creating health, happiness, and peace on their own.
